The Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań race won in the Głos Wielkopolski ranking: Enea Sportowiec Roku Wielkopolski 2025. This poll picks the best athletes and coaches each year, and also the best sports event in the region.

The jury that gave the awards this year had no doubts which sports event should win. They said it was because of great organization, a good atmosphere, and high participant satisfaction. According to the sports editors of Głos Wielkopolski, Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań was an event that clearly improved how people see Poznań as a city with a strong sports spirit.

Poznań is a special city in the history of Polish triathlon. The first triathlon race in our country took place here over 40 years ago. Back then, only a small group of athletes took part. Today, thousands of triathletes from all over the world race in Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań, and they rate this event very highly. This award belongs to them in a big way.

Awards in this year’s Głos Wielkopolski poll were presented during a formal gala at the Novotel Centrum hotel. The Best Athlete of 2025 was Martyna Klatt, a world champion in canoeing. The Best Coach was Radosław Laskowski from KKS Sporty Walki Poznań, the head coach of the Poland national kickboxing team.

Registration is halfway full

This year’s Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań race is planned for 30 August. The Olympic-distance race, Enea 5150 Poznań, will start on the same day. Registration has been open since November, and available старт packages are selling out at a record pace. More than 7 months before the event, only half of the spots are still available.

The IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon Series is the biggest triathlon race series in the world. It is held over a distance of 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, and 21.1 km running. It also matters that every person who races in these events can try to qualify for the annual IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. The location changes each year. In 2025 it was held in Marbella, Spain. This season, the best triathletes in the world, both pros and amateurs, will meet in Nice, in the south of France. At Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań 2026, athletes will be able to earn a slot for the 2027 championship, but the location is not known yet.
