The Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań weekend kicks off with a 5-kilometre run. Runners will start on Friday, 5 September at 22:00 from the grounds of the Poznań International Fair.

The Poznań 5K route runs along Grunwaldzka, Przybyszewskiego and Bukowska streets. Wide, flat roads make it perfect for fast racing, so we can expect strong finishing times. The first runners are likely to cross the finish line around 15 minutes after the start.

We’re starting late enough that the air will have cooled down — another factor that helps with fast running. The streets have good surfaces, there are no major inclines, so it’s a great opportunity for everyone to chase a strong result.
Maciej Stroiński – spokesperson for Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań

The organisers are ensuring full safety for all runners on the route. During Night Run Poznań, the streets will be closed to traffic, and volunteers and police patrols will be present along the entire course.

Participants of Night Run Poznań will receive a headlamp in their starter pack, allowing each runner to light their own way. Hundreds of headlamps glowing in the dark will create a unique night run atmosphere. Organisers have also prepared special event t-shirts, which will be available for purchase in the store right after race pack pickup.

Nearly 1,000 people have already signed up for the race. Registration is open only until 31 August, so this is the last chance to join this unique event and run 5 km through the night scenery of the capital of Greater Poland.

Veolia’s presence in Warsaw and Kraków during the IRONMAN Poland weekends is a clear sign to us that the events we organise are an attractive platform for promotion for globally recognised companies.
Michał Drelich – CEO of Sport Evolution, Race Director of IRONMAN Poland

The 5-kilometre night run is just the warm-up for the rest of the triathlon weekend. On Saturday from 10:00, the Race Office will open, where participants can collect their starter packs for Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań. At noon, the Pho3nix IRONKIDS Poznań races for children will begin. At 15:00, it’s time for some fun for the grown-ups — the Rowerkowe Mistrzostwa Świata.

Sunday is the crème de la crème of the weekend — the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań and the Olympic distance race, Enea 5150 Poznań, will both take place that day. The start line for both races is located at Parkowa Beach on Lake Kierskie. Athletes competing in the Olympic distance will enter the water at 8:00, while those taking on the half-distance will begin their race at 9:30.
